During the course of a successful and wide ranging career, Peter has held senior positions in sectors as diverse as a multinational engineering group, merchant banking, commercial banking and the venture capital industry. Peter has specialized in arranging and structuring funding for small and medium sized enterprises and has experience of acting as a director of over 20 such companies.

Peter is a past President of the Birmingham & West Midlands Society of Chartered Accountants and a former Chief Executive of the West Midlands Enterprise Board.
